First of all, thank you for playing Promotion Wars!
You'll need to download two main things to play the game:
1) The game
2) A 'Data Pack' (this contains all the wrestlers and promotions etc)
Get the game installed and working first. You'll need a Windows PC or laptop in order to play.
Click here to go straight to the game download page. Click on the picture that says Full Install.
If your Antivirus / Windows Defender throws up a warning, it's just because the file hasn't been downloaded thousands of times yet - I virus check all the files before I upload them, so you can override any warnings you may get. It's best to tell your Antivirus / Windows Defender that it can trust the installer file. You may need to reinstall after doing that.
This page may also help you override any blocked downloads, and help the game be known as safe.
If it's downloaded okay, you'll now have a zip file, probably in your Downloads folder, unless you chose somewhere else. Right click on it and choose Extract All. This gets the Installer file out of the zip file.
It's a good idea to tell your Windows Defender/Anti-Virus at this stage to trust the installer file, to ensure an error-free installation.
Double click on the unzipped Installer file and you'll be taken through the setup program. This installs all the necessary files on your PC or laptop.
By default the game installs to your C drive, in a folder called Promotion Wars - 21st Anniversary Edition.
Once you have that, you can download a Data Pack. Click here to go straight to that page.
Download the Data Pack by clicking on the graphic. This downloads as a zip file. Right click on it and choose Extract All. Choose the location as C:\Promotion Wars - 21st Anniversary Edition\Data Packs, if you let the game install in its default location.

Now you're ready to play!
Go into the C:\Promotion Wars - 21st Anniversary Edition folder and double click on the file with the PW logo on to start the game.
The first time you play, it will say there is no Data Pack loaded. Click on the Change button and you'll be able to select the one you've downloaded. From that point, it'll remember the last one used.
Now you can choose to run an existing wrestling promotion, or start your own independent and work from the bottom up.
There's a video about how to start a new indie here.
If you have any more questions while you're playing, please check out the FAQ's page.
If you can't find the answer on there, there's a help forum on the PW Arena message board. You'll just need to sign up with a free account, which takes seconds.
Enjoy the game, and please feel free to follow Promotion Wars on Facebook, Twitter, Reddit and YouTube.
